OSH Management Plan
The purpose of the Commission’s OSH Plan for 2018-2020 is to document the aim and objectives of the OHS program and the activities to be undertaken between January 2018 and June 2020 to ensure continuous improvement in occupational safety and health across the Commission.
The aim of the plan is to ensure the systematic development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of occupational safety and health standards across the Commission.
The Plan consists of Indicators, Objectives and Strategies:
Indicators
Three high-level indicators designed to measure the overall level of implementation and effectiveness of the plan: System Development and Implementation; Employee Safety and Health Awareness; Occupational Safety and Health Plan Achievement.
Objectives
Five medium level objectives based on the elements of WorkSafe Plan: Management Commitment; Planning; Consultation and Reporting; Hazard Management; and, Training and Information
Strategies
A number of strategies designed to achieve each of the above objectives. Each strategy has components of: Measurement, Responsibility, Implementation and Review Date

To work toward achieving 60% compliance in each of the five elements of the WorkSafe Plan Assessment by June 2020 as measured by an external, accredited assessor.
To improve the level of communication, awareness and understanding of safety and health in the workplace by employees.
To achieve 100% of the objectives and strategies of the OHS Plan for 2018-2020.
